Lakeshore Board of Education President, Mrs. Wade, is a regular presence at district professional learning, gaining insight that allows her to better support staff. She inspires both students and educators through her engagement as a guest speaker and encourager. Her opening and closing speeches to staff draw deep connections, reflect thoughtful preparation, and help everyone feel appreciated while refocusing us on our “why.”

Summer break may have just begun, but our dedicated staff is actively engaged in professional development! They're currently participating in Therapeutic Crisis Intervention training to further strengthen their abilities in supporting our students effectively. We're proud of their commitment to continuous learning!
At our End-of-the-Year District-Wide Staff Celebration this afternoon, we had the pleasure of recognizing several outstanding members of our Lakeshore family. We celebrated the retirements of Deanna Chorny (34 years), Jeff Chorny (32 years), Leo Stampfly (30 years), Yolanda Broehm (24 years), Christine Green (22 years), and Nancy vonKoenig (14 years), honoring their many years of dedicated service to Lakeshore Public Schools.
We also recognized Nanine Cvengros and Brian Ames as the Totzke-Nye Support Staff Persons of the Year, and Christy Erickson and Andy Shingledecker with the R. James Johnson Distinguished Educator Award.
