What a GREAT first day welcoming our new teachers to Lakeshore!

Our newest team members spent the morning getting to know their colleagues, learning a little more about Lakeshore, making connections with staff from across the district, and, of course, picking out some Lakeshore spirit gear!

We’re so excited to have them joining our team!

Stay tuned as we introduce our new teachers over the next week. But for now, check out a few pictures from a fun morning of learning, connecting, and showing a little Lakeshore spirit!

It’s time! Members of The Class of 2027 were at LHS bright and early this morning to get a spot in line for a coveted reserved parking spot for the 2026–2027 school year.

Students were “camping” out, playing cards, hanging out with friends, and patiently waiting for the start. Once they secure their spots, we know the real fun will begin. Our students will put their creativity to work and turn their parking spaces into something uniquely theirs.

We can’t wait to see what the Class of 2027 comes up with!

Students may not be back until the end of the month, but that doesn’t mean things are quiet around here!

Our Food Service Kitchen Managers and PBIS Building-Level Teams are already putting in the work behind the scenes to make sure we’re ready for a GREAT year at Lakeshore Public Schools!

From learning the latest food service trends, regulations, and best practices to building positive school cultures, these teams are making the magic happen before our students even walk through the doors.

We’re so thankful for the people working behind the scenes to make Lakeshore a place where every student can thrive.

The countdown is on… and we’re getting ready!

Lakeshore Public Schools is excited to announce that Ryan Quinn has been named the new Dean of Students at Lakeshore High School.

Ryan has been a valued member of the Lakeshore team for the past five years, serving as a high school science teacher and head wrestling coach. Throughout his time at Lakeshore, Ryan has built strong relationships with students, challenged them to reach their potential, and created a classroom environment where students feel supported and encouraged to succeed.

Beyond the classroom, Ryan has been a leader in our school community. He has served on the Lakeshore Guiding Coalition, contributed to school improvement efforts, and helped strengthen professional learning communities by collaborating with colleagues to improve instruction and support student growth.

Ryan’s commitment to students extends beyond academics. He played an important role in launching Lakeshore’s girls wrestling program in 2024, creating new opportunities for student-athletes while continuing to build a successful wrestling program. Through both education and athletics, Ryan consistently emphasizes perseverance, accountability, and the belief that every student can achieve great things.

“Ryan leads with purpose and genuinely cares about our students,” said Superintendent Greg Eding. “Whether he’s helping a student understand a challenging science concept, mentoring an athlete, or encouraging someone to believe in themselves, Ryan brings energy, perseverance, and a student-first mindset to everything he does.”

As Dean of Students, Ryan will work with students, staff, and families to continue building a positive school culture and support the academic, social, and behavioral success of every Lancer.

“I am extremely grateful to serve our community in this capacity,” said Ryan Quinn. “I will ensure that all students at Lakeshore feel supported during their educational journey. It is an absolute blessing for my family and me to continue making positive impacts for the community we love. Lancer Up!”

Please join us in congratulating Ryan Quinn on this new role!

Not only are our staff members growing this summer—our students are too!

Summer athletic camps kicked off last week, and it's been great to see our Lancers learning, practicing new skills, and having fun along the way.

One of the best parts has been watching our older students step up as coaches, mentors, and role models for our younger Lancers. They're leading by example, building connections, and helping create positive experiences for everyone involved.

We're proud of the effort, leadership, and enthusiasm we're seeing throughout our summer programs. Keep up the great work, Lancers!

When the seniors are away, the juniors will play! Lakeshore High School AP Biology and Forensics juniors took advantage of the beautiful afternoon by volunteering at Grand Mere State Park. Students spent the day pulling invasive species and picking up trash to help preserve one of our community’s natural treasures.

Great job to these hardworking students for giving back and making a positive impact on the environment!
